Terms of Service
Last updated November 2, 2026
These terms cover your use of Artificial Intelligence University (AIU, certificationcenter.ai). By creating an account or taking an exam here, you agree to them.
What AIU is
AIU is a free, ad-supported platform offering self-study textbooks and certification exams in AI engineering topics. AIU is not an accredited college or university, and a certificate from AIU does not confer a degree or academic credit. It is a skills certification: evidence that you passed a specific exam on a specific date, nothing more.
Who can use AIU
You must be 13 or older to create an account. One account per person - certificates are tied to an individual, and sharing an account undermines what a certificate is supposed to prove.
Taking an exam
- Exams are unproctored. We don't verify your identity or that you worked alone - a certificate reflects that someone answered the questions correctly, not a controlled testing environment.
- Retakes are free. If a question you answered is later found to be flawed and retired, we recompute affected scores and reissue certificates rather than asking you to retake the whole exam.
- Don't attempt to find or share exam questions and answers outside of taking the exam yourself. Reported, confirmed-defective questions get fixed through our own review process, not by changing your own answers after the fact.
Certificates
- Once issued, a certificate's score and issue date are permanent and cannot be edited - that permanence is what makes it mean something to anyone who verifies it later.
- You can make a certificate public or private, and opt into or out of the public directory and leaderboard, at any time from your account page.
- We can revoke a certificate (for example, for confirmed cheating or fraud) or mark one "reissued" (for example, after a name correction or a retired-question recompute). A revoked certificate's verification page will say so.
Ads
AIU is funded by ads, including an ad interstitial during exams. That's what lets certification stay free. We don't control the content of third-party ads beyond the ad network's own policies.
What's not allowed
- Automated or bulk account creation, or anything designed to get around our bot-abuse protections.
- Scraping the site, the question bank, or the public directory/leaderboard at scale.
- Impersonating another person, or creating a certificate record under a name that isn't yours.
- Using the contact-relay form (which lets someone message a certificate holder without seeing their real email) to send spam, harassment, or unsolicited solicitation.
No warranty
AIU is provided "as is." We work to keep the question bank accurate and the site available, but we don't guarantee it's error-free or uninterrupted, and we aren't liable for how a certificate is received or used by a third party (an employer, for instance) who looks it up.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date; continuing to use AIU after a change means you accept the new terms.
