TRACKING BUDGETS PER AGENT AND PER WORKSPACE A workspace is a shared area, such as a team or a project, in which several agents run. Per-agent tracking means each agent has its own meter. Per-workspace tracking means a combined meter adds up everything the agents in that workspace spend. Why have both? Picture a household with a shared grocery budget. Each family member may have a personal allowance, but the household also has a monthly total. If one person overspends, the shared total protects everyone else. In the same way, a workspace limit means one runaway agent cannot silently spend the whole team's money before anybody notices. The harness updates the meters after every model call and every tool call, so the numbers are always current. It also warns early, for example at eighty percent of the limit, so a human can react before the hard stop.
