SCORING METHODS

Part 8 of 12

CHOOSING A METHOD A simple decision guide is useful. If the answer has one right form, use exact match. If the requirement can be written as a precise check, use a rule. If the quality is subtle and open-ended, use an LLM judge with a good rubric, calibrated by humans. If the stakes are high or the judge is uncertain, add human review. Most real systems layer several of these together.
