CHAPTER SUMMARY Chapter 65 built the smallest useful harness. The permission gate converts every path to its final form and allows reading only inside resumes and writing only inside reports. The tool registry is a menu of three named tools with descriptions and handlers. The model adapter is the single doorway to the model, and the mock model lets you test everything offline. The main loop thinks, acts, and observes, stops at ten steps, counts estimated tokens, and writes every event to a log. You ran the agent on five fictional resumes, inspected the reports and log, and tested the gate with sneaky paths. One flaw was planted on purpose in write_report, and you will find it in Chapter 67.
