WHY HARNESS ENGINEERING EMERGED AS ITS OWN FIELD

Part 7 of 10

PRACTICE LAB CONNECTION Use the Resume Review Agent lab's run logs, which you will meet in Chapter 68, to practice comparing two harness configurations. A good exercise is to take two compaction thresholds, such as summarizing earlier resume reviews after a small amount of history versus a large amount, and compare the logged results the way an automated harness-optimization experiment would. Write down, before looking at results, what rule you will use to pick a winner. Then check whether your sample is large enough to trust the difference. The prompts below help you design the experiment and interpret the results.
